RC MOVE and SIGMA MOVE – the perfect team

In launching the RC MOVE, SIGMA SPORT is entering new territory in the field of running computers. The new training watch has two major benefits: Even on its own, it is the perfect training companion, while in conjunction with an iPhone and the SIGMA MOVE app, it develops into a smart training partner. When combined, the RC MOVE and the MOVE app provide a training tool with GPS, music management, and Facebook and Twitter access.

Values such as the speed, distance, or heart rate are simultaneously displayed on the watch and the app and announced by voice control after each lap. The music, which can be controlled via the watch while training, reduces in volume slightly while this is done. After training, data can be instantly shared with friends via Facebook and Twitter. The data is transmitted between the iPhone, chest belt, and PC/Mac for evaluation via Bluetooth Smart. The watch wrist strap is available in black or white and made from comfortable silicone. The five operating buttons are clearly and prominently labeled.

The RC MOVE can be connected to the SIGMA MOVE app with two clicks and the training can then be managed and controlled on both the app and the watch. The SIGMA MOVE app is clearly structured, intuitive, and easy to use, and can be downloaded from the Apple AppStore in German, English, French, Spanish, and Dutch versions.

Even without the app and an iPhone, the heart rate monitor perfectly supports athletes: Whether during free training on the basis of a set target zone or interval training that has been pre-defined or based on intensity zones. The default settings for the intensity zones are based on the abbreviations BE1 (60-70% of the HRmax), BE1/2 (70-80% of the HRmax), BE2 (development zone) (80-90% of the HRmax), and CE (peak zone) (90-100% of the HRmax).

One particular highlight is the phase training, which can be programmed in the DATA CENTER in advance. Multiple individual training phases can be defined and times and the heart rate range specified. The data is then transferred to the RC MOVE and can be used for training.

On the three-line display, the top line instantly catches the eye with the current heart rate and lap information. The middle and bottom lines display two further training data items and can be customized on nine different pages using a favorites menu. Thanks to the zoom function, these two values can also be displayed in larger format while training.

With a 260-hour log capacity, the RC MOVE can be used for even the longest of sessions. Further features such as the watertight housing, the display backlight, the simple button lock, and the alarm function round off this intelligent running computer. Whether with or without an iPhone: Training with the RC MOVE is simply great fun.

The RC MOVE is available from retailers with the bike bracket and with the R1 BLUE heart rate sensor and bike bracket.
