BULLS team wins again in Africa
The participants in the Absa Cape Epic race, the magical and untamed African mountain bike event, can look back on eight strenuous days. The riders battled over hill and dale and through breathtakingly beautiful scenery in the race covering seven stages plus prologue and a total of 685 kilometres, before finally crossing the finish line on the Oak Valley to Lourensford stage. At the end the BULLS team took the coveted place at the top of the podium.

With a lead of four minutes and 54 seconds over the second-placed team (Trek-Brentjens), the riders Karl Platt and Stefan Sahm, sponsored by SIGMA SPORT, were able to win the Absa Cape Epic race once again following their victory in 2007. Platt's third victory - he won in 2004 together with Mannie Heymans - makes him the most successful competitor in the history of the mountain bike race.

During the whole race the two riders from the BULLS team rode in fear that Karl Platt's shoulder injury would reappear after two previous times. They were all the more delighted about the victory and Sahm even described this win as the most important of his career.
