Taking centre stage at this Friday to Sunday event were more than 1500 mountain bikers from eight countries. After the two skiing legends Rosi Mittermaier and Christian Neureuther fired the starting gun on Saturday, the individual riders and teams of two, four and eight set off to complete the seven kilometre circular course as many times as possible. The wonderful late summer weather and the multitude of fans contributed towards some excellent performances. Ingo Ebeling made it to the winner’s podium for the individual section after completing 530 km in 24 hours. To make sure they had good illumination during the night, many riders once again resorted to the tried and tested lighting systems from SIGMA SPORT®.
